Selected Priority Pass members will soon be slugged an extra $5 USD when paying for chargeable lounge visits. The new fee will be $US32, up from $US27.
The increased fee will be effective from October 1st, 2019. Any chargeable visits before this date will be processed at the previous published lounge visit fee.
This change comes hot on the heels of “The House” lounges at both Melbourne and Sydney Airports joining the Priority Pass network – with a $20 AUD supplement charged for entry.
Which members are impacted?
The fee increase impacts those who hold a non-unlimited Priority Pass membership where lounge visits are charged. This includes, for example, Priority Pass members who receive two lounge visits per year via a bank-issued credit card, with additional entries charged upon consumption.
Which Priority Pass lounges are impacted?
Priority Pass operates Airport Lounges in over 1,200 locations and boasts an extensive footprint in Australia. The new visit fees will apply to any Member or guest chargeable visits made to any Priority Pass lounge or non-lounge experiences. This includes all dining, spa and relaxation offers around the world.
More information about the fee increase has been published on the Priority Pass website.
