Qantas has launched a ‘Christmas bonus points’ promotion through the Qantas Online Mall, a portal that enables members of Qantas Frequent Flyer to earn points on purchases from popular retailers when shopping online.

Until 23 December, you’ll earn up to 10 Qantas points per $1 spent online at a range of popular stores. The number of bonus points on offer differs by retailer. Our top pick is $10 points per $1 spent at David Jones (doubled from the usual 5 points per $1). Other top picks include:

  • The Iconic – 10 points per $1 spent
  • Aveda, Marcs, Bobbi Brown – 8 points per $1 spent
  • Saks Fifth Avenue – 7 points per $1 spent
  • Bonds, Cue, Forever New, Zanui – 6 points per $1 spent

For a limited time, you can earn 10 Qantas points per $1 spent at David Jones

10 Qantas points per $1 spent at David Jones is the highest rate we ever see for the Qantas Online Mall, so it’s worth taking advantage of if you have a specific purchase in mind. And in addition to picking up a large haul of Qantas points, if you shop online at David Jones with a David Jones American Express Card , you’ll receive free gift wrapping and free delivery on all purchases, regardless of spend – perfect timing for Christmas!

How to make a purchase via the Qantas Online Mall

It’s a simple process to make a purchase at the Qantas Online Mall, and one of my favourite ways to boost my Qantas Frequent Flyer balance. To start, browse the Online Mall and choose your retailer. Click ‘Shop Now’ to visit your chosen retailer’s site and then shop as normal. Your Qantas Points will appear in your Frequent Flyer account 30 days after your purchase. Too easy!

Note that your purchase must be tracked by the Qantas Online Mall in order for you to receive your haul of Qantas points, so ensure that you have your cookies enabled before you shop. It’s also important to note that you must visit the Online Mall first and then click through to the retailer site from their page on the Online Mall. If you go to the retailer direct or navigate away from their site and come back to it, you will not earn Qantas Points on purchases.

And finally, some retailers may restrict some types of purchases (i.e. gift cards) from receiving bonus points. You’ll find a link to each retailer’s terms and conditions linked to the Qantas Online Mall.

Happy shopping!
