Seats on Qantas’ non-stop service between Perth and London on the Boeing 787 Dreamliner have been released for sale today and are now bookable via the Qantas website. Below, we’ve summarised the fast facts.

Flight commencement date: The service will commence March 24, 2017.

Arrival and departure times: The flight will depart Perth at 6.50pm to reach London’s Heathrow Airport early the next morning at 5.10am. The return leg will depart Heathrow at 1.30pm to land at Perth at 1.15pm the following day.

Flight duration: The flight duration will be 18 hours and 20 minutes. This makes it one of the longest routes in the world (and the longest route currently serviced by a Dreamliner).

Fare costs: Return economy fares to London start at $2270. A return premium economy fare will be from $4250 and business class from $9725. These are ‘full’ fares, and can be expected to drop during sale periods.

A final note: Award seats on this route are expected to be in high demand. However, no Classic Award seats appear to have been released as yet. We’ll be keeping a close eye on this, and will advise when they are available.

I love to travel the world in comfort and style. In fact, there’s really nothing I love more than sitting in a plane at 36,000 feet, a glass of Krug in hand, watching the clouds go by.
