Members of Velocity Frequent Flyer can now book Singapore Airlines First Class and premium economy award flights. This includes the flagship A380 ‘Suites Class’, opening up a raft of enticing new flight redemption options for the program.
Singapore Airlines first class is available from both Melbourne and Sydney to Singapore. It’s a wonderful way to spend eight hours, offering excellent service and an incredibly high standard of food and drink. Not one, but two high-end Champagnes – Dom Perignon vintage and Krug NV are available.

You can now book this flight for 95,000 Velocity points one-way, plus minimal taxes. Our tip: Depart from Singapore for access to the highly exclusive Singapore Airlines First Class lounge ‘The Private Room‘.
If you want to fly further afield to London, Frankfurt or Zurich in Singapore Airlines first or suites class, this will set you back 203,000 points one way.
Back in the premium economy cabin, you’ll pay 52,500 Velocity points each way between Melbourne / Sydney and Singapore. Europe and the UK are reachable for 112,500 points one way.
Singapore Airlines First Class and Premium now in reach of Velocity Frequent Flyers
While Business and Economy awards have been available for some time, premium economy and first / suites class flight reward redemptions have previously been out of reach of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program. Currently, the only way to book Singapore Airlines first or suites class with Velocity points is to convert your points at a rate of 1.35:1 to Singapore Airlines Krisflyer – which can come in far more expensive than the pricing outlined above.
Currently, it’s unknown how the availability of premium economy and first / suites class awards via Velocity Frequent Flyer will compare with Singapore Airlines Krisflyer.
And a final note that first and suites class seats can’t be redeemed online. You’ll need to call Velocity Frequent Flyer on 13 18 75
