But if you don’t travel frequently, don’t despair – there are still a surprisingly large number of ways to earn Velocity Frequent Flyer points that don’t require you to step onto a plane.
We’ve listed out six great ways you can quickly boost your Velocity points balance with your feet firmly on the ground:
1. Sign up for the American Express Velocity Platinum Card (60,000 points)
You can pick up 60,000 bonus points the American Express Velocity Platinum Card.
In addition to the bonus points, you may also pick up perks such as a complimentary return domestic airfare between selected Australian cities and two passes to the Virgin Australia lounge, depending on which product is chosen.
2. Earn 5,000 bonus Points with Marriott Bonvoy
You can snatch 5,000 bonus Velocity Points when you transfer at least 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points to Velocity.
The standard transfer rate is 3 Marriott Bonvoy Points for 1 Velocity Frequent Flyer Point. There is no limit to the number of times a member can transfer, however, a daily maximum of 240,000 Points applies.

3. Join E-Rewards and complete your first survey within 3 months (850 points)
E-Rewards is an online market research panel. By joining, you’ll get the opportunity to complete regular surveys for points.
You’ll score 850 Velocity points when you complete a survey within three months of signing up. Then, simply complete a survey within 3 months of enrolment to receive your bonus 850 Velocity points.
Plus, you can continue to complete surveys via the E-Rewards portal to earn incremental Velocity points. Sound good? You can join here and link your Velocity account during the sign-up.
4. Earn up to 130,000 Velocity Points with Medibank cover
You can earn up to 130,000 Velocity Points when you join and maintain an eligible premium Medibank hospital and extras cover.
Note that you must be a new member who has not held Medibank or ahm hospital cover in the past 12 months.

You can link your Velocity and Flybuys accounts and turn on ‘auto transfers’ to automatically earn 500 Velocity Points each time you collect 1,000 Flybuys points.

6. Shop at the Velocity E-Store (earn up to eight points per dollar spent)
Similar to Qantas Marketplace, the Velocity e-store allows you to shop from your favourite retailers and earn points.
Yes, you can shop online with over 200 local and international retailers at the Velocity e-Store and earn Velocity points on your purchases.
Most merchants offer 2 points per dollar, but up to six points per dollar are on offer, with monthly bonus offerings available.
