How to score a free pass to the Qantas International Business Lounge

Qantas has launched an enticing new promotion – free entry to the Qantas International Business Lounge on your next international economy flight!

The catch? You’ll need to be aged between 18 to 35, and the offer may be targetted towards those who’ve received an email from Qantas.

How to register

If you’re aged between 18 and 35, register here and book an Economy seat on any international Qantas-operated flight with a QF flight number by 31 August 2019.

Your departing flight can take off any time between 1 June 2019 and 29 February 2020, as long as you book at least seven days prior to travel and include your QFF number in your booking.

Not yet a Qantas Frequent Flyer? While membership usually costs $99.50, we’ve previously covered off all the ways you can join for free here.

Is this offer targetted?

The offer page advises that the offer is “by invitation only”.

However, we’ve noted that the landing page is available publically via the “Member Specials” section of the Qantas website, and the terms and conditions are less restrictive.

The T&Cs simply state that the promo is “open to Qantas Frequent Flyer members aged between 18 and 35 years (as per your date of birth in your Qantas Frequent Flyer profile) at the time of registration, who register and book an eligible flight by 31 August 2019 (unless sold out prior).”

We’ve read many reports of people who didn’t receive the email, but who were able to register for the promotion – as always, your mileage may vary. If you’re in the eligible age range and planning to book a Qantas international flight in the allowable timeframe, it can’t hurt to register.

Important things to note

Qantas states that details on how to redeem your lounge pass will be emailed to you.

Your date of travel must be more than seven days from the date of booking to allow Qantas time to link the complimentary lounge pass to your flight booking.

Each complimentary lounge pass entitles one person, a one-time entry. This means that no guests or children are able to enter with you. For more information on the Qantas International Business Lounge network, check out our comprehensive Qantas Lounge Guide here.

A visit to the Qantas International Business Lounge could allow you to kick back and relax before your next trip. Start your holiday with a glass of bubbles, or indulge in Qantas’ seasonal Rockpool-inspired menus.
