Emirates has announced plans to soar back into Adelaide, confirming the return of direct, daily Adelaide to Dubai flights from October this year.
The route will be serviced by the Boeing 777-200LR aircraft, adding 4,200 weekly seats between Dubai and Adelaide. The Boeing 777-200LR will offer 38 seats in business class (configured in a 2-2-2 layout) and 264 seats in the economy cabin. The aircraft does not operate a first class or premium economy cabin.
The schedule
The daily Emirates services will be operated under flight numbers EK440 and EK441:
- EK440 will arrive in Adelaide at 8:50 PM, and
- EK441 will depart from Adelaide at 10:35 PM
These timings are optimised to allow travellers to connect to flights in Dubai, making it convenient for travelers flying to various destinations.
How to book
While tickets are available to book now through the Emirates website, Qantas Frequent Flyer members can instead to lock in seats via Qantas codeshare, in order to earn Qantas Points and status credits.
We’d also expect to see award space released through Emirates Skywards and partner airlines, such as Qantas. While no reward seats appear to be available as yet, we’ll be keeping an eye out – watch this space!
Emirates last plied the skies between Adelaide and Dubai in March 2020, halting its popular service as a result of the global pandemic.
The resumption of this popular route marks a significant milestone in the recovery of South Australia’s tourism industry. It is expected to attract international visitors, stimulate the tourism economy, and support trade and broader economic development in South Australia.
