American Express has unveiled a range of epic offers, exclusive discounts and VIP Lounge access for Vivid Sydney 2019.
Light, music, art and technology collide at Vivid Sydney 2019. Centered around Sydney Harbour, this iconic festival will light up from 24 May to 15 June this year.
And, in welcome news, American Express is once again partnering with Vivid Sydney to deliver a range of enticing offers and perks designed to help cardholders experience the festival in style.
Along with access to the popular American Express Lounge, cardholders will be able to enjoy a range of compelling discounts and cashback offers.
Soak it all in at the American Express Lounge
During Vivid Sydney, Amex cardholders can kick back and relax in the comfort of the American Express Lounge. Enjoy refreshments while taking in dazzling views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Opera House.
The Amex Lounge is located at Cruise Bar Rooftop, level 3 of the Overseas Passenger Terminal, Circular Quay. Opening hours are between 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm for the duration of the festival.
To enter, simply flash your eligible American Express Card. Amex cardholders are entitled to bring one guest into the lounge, while Platinum and Centurion members can bring two.
As a sweetener, Amex cardholders can access a special ‘Spend and Save’ Lounge offer – spend $30 or more to get $5 back. This offer is valid from 24 May to 16 June. Exclusions apply.
If you don’t yet hold an Amex Card, don’t despair – you can still enjoy a taste of #AmexLife! The American Express Lounge will open to the public from 8 pm each evening. To access the Lounge, simply register online and bring your confirmation email to the door.

One of the most spectacular ways to experience Vivid Sydney is at Taronga Zoo. Follow the illuminated trail through the zoo to experience it in a completely different, er, light. From 23 May to 16 June, spend $20 or more to get $5.
Or, soak in those Vivid Sydney sights from above with Bridge Climb. Spend $300 or more and get $50 back between 15 May and 16 June.
Take to the water aboard a cruise and you’ll become part of the illuminated Vivid Sydney vista. Captain Cook is offering a spend $300, get $60 back offer on its cruises from 23 May to 30 June.
RedBalloon is also offering a smorgasbord of Vivid Sydney experiences, with a real emphasis on dinner cruises. Treat your better half to a light-filled evening on the water, with the added bonus of $40 when you spend $240 from 15 May to 16 June.
Transport
Your Amex card is your ticket to navigating Vivid Sydney with ease. From 23 May to 15 June, Amex cardholders enjoy 10% off every ride with the Rydo Taxi App.
Or, if you prefer to drive yourself, but are coming from out of town, hire a Europcar from 23 May to 28 June and spend $200 or more to get $30, up to two times. Meanwhile with public transport, get 30% back on Sydney Trains, Ferries or Light Rail, up to $15 from 21 May to 16 June!
