You can now redeem Rex flights with points

Rex has today confirmed the second phase of the program’s staggered rollout has launched successfully, enabling members to use their Rex points to redeem flights.

Redeeming Rex Flyer points for flights

Starting from today, Rex Flyer members can redeem Rex Points to snap up economy or business class seats. Redemptions are available across three flight Reward options: Anytime, Getaway, and Ultimate, with varying points costs. Note that the ‘Ultimate’ reward rate becomes available for all unsold seats 48 hours before departure.

Rex bid up

Customers will continue to earn up to seven points for every dollar spent on flights and up to five points for each dollar spent on selected Rex Extras such as additional baggage and seat selection.

Since its launch in early October, Rex Flyer has attracted over 60,000 registered members, and joining the program is free. Customers can expect to see Rex investing in a range of further initiatives set to launch across 2024, as follows.

Coming soon: business upgrades and elite status tiers

In early 2024, the Rex Flyer program is set to announce three new status tiers – Sapphire, Emerald, and Diamond. Customers earn one status point per dollar spent, with tier benefits set to launch in early 2024.

Benefits are set to include free business class upgrades, extra legroom in economy seating, lounge access, priority check-in and boarding, and higher baggage allowances.

Lounge improvements on the way

In addition to the Rex Flyer program, Rex Airlines has plans to construct new airport lounges in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. Work on these lounges is set to begin soon.
