Velocity Frequent Flyer has launched a new promotion, offering 20% bonus Status Credits on international flights until the end of 2022.
International travellers can earn 20% bonus Status Credits when booking and traveling on eligible Virgin Australia operated or marketed international flights with a VA flight number, by 31 December 2022. Unfortunately, standalone Virgin Australia domestic flights and domestic connection flights flown as part of an international journey are not eligible for the promotion.
How to get 20% bonus Status Credits
Unlike other Status Credit promotions, there’s no need to register for this offer. To be eligible, travellers simply need book and complete travel on an eligible flight during the promotion period and enter a valid Velocity membership number to the flight booking prior to commencing travel.
The promotion ends 11:59pm AEDT 31 December 2022.
Velocity airline partners
While Virgin Australia’s international network is currently restricted to Bali and Fiji, Velocity boasts partnerships with 12 other airlines. Together, these airlines provide coverage across an extensive global network.
The upcoming Qatar Airways tie-up is expected to be fully integrated into the program by late 2022.
Stacking this offer with the Velocity ‘Discover Gold’ promotion
Presumably, the 20% bonus Status Credits offer can be stacked with the separate ‘Discover Gold’ status fast track promotion launched by Virgin Australia last week, providing an even easier path to full Velocity Gold membership.
Those who hold qualifying status with Qantas Frequent Flyer and 28 other airlines can snap up this elevated status, which comes with the ability to unlock full Velocity Gold membership for a further 12 months.
Through the promotion, eligible travellers can experience the best of Virgin Australia’s premium products and services with a 3 month ‘Discover Gold’ membership.
To gain full Velocity Gold membership for a further 12 months after your three-month trial, you need to earn 80 Status Credits and fly 1 Eligible Sector during your Velocity Discover Gold trial period.
