Qatar Airways has long set the standard in business class, and now they’re pushing the envelope even further.
From tomorrow, the airline will be introducing a full caviar service in business class, a touch of first-class indulgence brought to the other side of the curtain. This isn’t just about adding another fancy perk; it’s about setting a new standard for what business class can offer.
Elevating business class to new heights
Qatar Airways has consistently outshined its competitors, offering an unparalleled business class experience.
The Qsuite, which features private suites, double beds, and doors for extra privacy, already blurs the line between business and first class. Now, with the addition of caviar to the menu, Qatar is setting a new standard for luxury in the skies.
What’s on the caviar menu?
This isn’t just any caviar that Qatar plans to serve – it’s Baerii caviar from the Siberian sturgeon, known for its rich, sophisticated flavour.
Qatar Airways plans to dish out a 15g serving per person. This is a generous portion when you consider that the cost per kilo is an eye-watering $2,800 AUD, or $52 AUD for a 20g tin!
The caviar will be served with the usual classic accompaniments: think crème fraiche, finely chopped chives, red onion, crumbled hard-boiled egg, and a slice of lemon. Guests will also receive an assortment of blinis, and Melba toast. Of course, it’s all served with a special pearl spoon, to enhance the experience even further.
Which routes will get Qatar’s new business class caviar service?
Travellers departing several Australian cities will be among the first to experience this luxurious value-add.
The caviar service is set to debut on 13 select routes, including flights to and from Doha, Sydney, and Melbourne, as well as other major international destinations like Singapore, Hong Kong, London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas, and Houston. It’s unclear whether Qatar Airways plans to expand the add on to other routes in future.
A new standard for business class
In a competitive market where every enhancement is noticed, Qatar Airways continues to refine its business class offering. Whether you’re a caviar enthusiast or simply appreciate added comforts, this new service could add a touch of luxury to your journey.
With the introduction of caviar, Qatar Airways is making a considered move to enhance the business class experience, particularly for those flying from Australia.
