Qantas has launched a four-day Points Flash Sale, offering Frequent Flyer members big discounts across a huge range of products from flights to wine, shopping, and more. The promotion includes:
Domestic flights: Get 20% off the points needed for Australian domestic flights (excluding Classic Flight Rewards). For example, a one-way Points Plus Pay flight from Sydney to Byron Bay (Ballina) will be 19,900 points, saving members 5,100 points.
Qantas Rewards Store: Get 20% off full-priced items storewide (excluding existing sale items, gift cards, and charities). This includes iPhones, Apple Watches, Macbooks, accessories, and more.
Qantas Wine: Enjoy up to 45% off selected mystery cases from Qantas Wine from 25,000 points per case.
Journey Beyond: Book an iconic rail expedition onboard The Ghan, Indian Pacific, or Great Southern and save 20% off the points needed for Points Plus Pay.
Apollo RV Holidays: 20% off the points needed for RV hire.
It’s worth bearing in mind that Classic Flight and Rail Rewards almost always offer better value than Points Plus Pay, with more information available here. Generally speaking, the only time to consider booking a flight or train journey with Points Plus Pay is when specific dates are needed, and these are not available via Classic Rewards.
That said, in-demand products at the Qantas Rewards Store, such as iPhones, almost never go on sale, and could represent a solid use of Qantas Points.
The sale runs from Friday 15th October (12:01 am AEDT) to Monday 18th October 2021 (11:59 pm AEDT).
