Christmas has come early for Accor Live Limitless members, who will soon have even more properties to choose from.

Accor has revealed a suite of new properties set to burst on the Australian and NZ hotel scene next year, with new brands like Hotel Morris and Joe&Joe set to make a fresh splash in our cities.

What’s new in Australia?

Hotel Morris (Sydney)

Opening: January 2023

About: Sydney CBD’s historic 1929-built West End Hotel at 412 Pitt Street was Australia’s tallest hotel for more than 30 years. The property is set to reopen as Hotel Morris, an evocative bar and boutique hotel. 

The 82-room hotel will feature a ground-floor restaurant on Pitt Street, and a spectacular rooftop bar.

Manly Pacific – MGallery

Opening: January 2023

About: Designed as an ode to the ocean, in collaboration with Australian designers Coco Republic, this hotel will offer front-row seats to Manly Beach.

The Manly Pacific features 213 rooms, an exclusive residence, nine suites with wellness experiences centred around the ocean, a rooftop pool, and a new conference and events space.

Mercure Hotel Cairns

Opening: January 2023

About: The coastal holiday hotspot of Cairns in Tropical North Queensland will see a multi-million dollar refurbishment and rebrand of ibis Styles Cairns.

Surrounded and inspired by nature, Mercure Hotel Cairns comprises 75 spacious guestrooms and a new modern Australian restaurant serving the finest local produce.

Pullman Sydney Penrith

Opening: Fourth quarter 2023

About: Boasting a range of onsite facilities, including a restaurant and bar with private dining rooms, along with a ground-floor café, Pullman Sydney Penrith is adjoined to the new Western Sydney Conference Centre.

The 153-room hotel forms part of Panthers Group’s landmark transformation of the Penrith Panthers precinct, creating a new state-of-the-art business and entertainment destination.

What’s new in New Zealand?

TRIBE Auckland Fort Street

Opening: Third quarter 2023

About: The 60-room Tribe Auckland Fort Street will bring a bold design edit to Auckland’s hotel scene, with 60 cleverly designed guestrooms, the latest technologies, a lobby bar, and terrace.

JO&JOE Auckland Fort Street

Opening: Third quarter 2023

About: A culture of sharing, spontaneity, and individual experiences brings travellers together and unites the fun of a hostel and the comforts of a hotel at JO&JOE properties.

This hotel will be housed in a historic building in the heart of downtown Auckland and will feature 63 rooms, lively common spaces, a lobby café, and a rooftop terrace.

Pullman Auckland Airport

Opening: Fourth quarter 2023

About: Infused with unique Waikato-Tainui cultural elements, the hotel features a top floor restaurant and bar with spectacular views across the runway and out to the Manukau Heads, and a ground floor café.

The 313-room Pullman will provide a gateway for guests arriving and departing Aotearoa New Zealand.

Beyond Auckland, New Zealand can also expect properties to pop up in Wellington and Queenstown, including The Sebel Wellington Lower Hutt (opening second Q2 2023) and Hyde Queenstown (opening Q3 2023).
