Marriott Bonvoy has brought back its generous double elite night promotion, allowing members to kick off 2023 with some serious bonus points!
From 7 February to 9 April, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn double elite nights for each eligible stay in a Marriott property, essentially meaning you can boost your status twice as fast.
There’s been a lot of generosity when it comes to status extensions over the past few years, with Marriott Bonvoy running their generous double elite nights promotion back-to-back in 2021 and 2022.
While we thought we may have seen the last of those, Marriott Bonvoy has broken ranks with a new offer that will make it easier to qualify for status in 2023.
What you need to know
To take advantage of this global promotion, you’ll have to be a Marriott Bonvoy member and register your stay before you check out.
This promotion entitles you to 1,000 bonus points on each eligible paid night, as well as earning 1 elite night bonus per night stayed, allowing you to reach elite status twice as fast.
Marriott Bonvoy members can reach the next membership tier with half the required number of nights, as follows:
- Silver Elite: 5 nights
- Gold Elite: 13 nights
- Platinum Elite: 25 nights
- Titanium Elite: 38 nights
- Ambassador Elite: 50 nights, plus US$23,000 spend
So, if you’re currently a Silver or Gold member, this promotion could allow you to relatively easily reach enhanced benefits of Platinum and Titanium.
The fine print
As always, reservations made through third-party hotel booking sites won’t be eligible for earning points. It’s best to book directly via Marriott to ensure you see those double elite nights.
Stays at certain properties including, Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott Executive Apartments, and owner-occupied weeks at Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club, Sheraton Vacation Club, Westin Vacation Club, The Ritz-Carlton Club, St. Regis Residence Club and Luxury Collection Residence Club, are not eligible for bonus points or bonus elite night credits under this promotion.
If January is shaping up to be a month of stays, you’ll also be happy to know that there’s no limit to the number of double night credits you can earn during the promotion period, but know that you can only earn points for one room at one property each night – expect to see those bonus points touch down in your account within seven business days of checkout.
