Aussies keen to soak up the wild beauty of South America now have even more opportunities to do so thanks to daily flights to Santiago.
Chilean airline, LATAM increased services from Sydney via Auckland to Santiago to a daily frequency this week.
Earlier this year, LATAM Airlines recommenced thrice weekly flights from Sydney, following a two-year pandemic halt.
Since then, an increase in demand for flights to Santiago – the gateway to LATAM’s network of more than 120 destinations in Latin America and 144 destinations worldwide – has seen the airline boost to daily services.
Chris Ellis, Country Manager Oceania for LATAM airlines said the airline is excited to meet the demand for daily flights to Santiago.
“We know that there is huge interest in travelling to South America and we are happy to open the opportunity for more and more travellers to experience the wonders this part of the world has to offer,” he said.
Flight schedule
LATAM flights from Sydney are operated on a Boeing 787-9 aircraft and fly via Auckland to Santiago, Chile.
Flight LA800 from Sydney departs daily at 11:35am, stopping in Auckland at 4:40pm before setting off once again to arrive at Santiago at 1:40pm.
On the return leg, passengers will take off at 12:40am, briefly stopping back off at Auckland at 5:15am, and then making the final flight to Sydney just in time to start the day at 9:35am.
