Hilton Honors is challenging you to resort to more points this winter.
For the next four months, Hilton Honors is offering up to 4,000 bonus points per eligible stay, allowing many Australian-based members to leverage those mid-year escapes.
The bonus applies to stays booked for 1 May and 5 September 2023, so there’s a lot of time to play with.
Here’s how to take advantage of this promotion during the mid-year holiday rush.
How does this promotion work?
To max out this tiered offer, you’ll need to stay at an eligible resort in the promotion period. However, stays at eligible hotels also attract bonus points during this time. Here’s how it works:
- Earn 4,000 bonus Hilton Honors points per stay on eligible resort stays
- Earn 2,000 bonus Hilton Honors points per stay on other hotel stays
You’ll need to be an existing Hilton Honors member to log in and register for the promotion online.

What to know
While there is no limit to the total number of Bonus Points that may be earned during the promotion period with this offer, there are restrictions on the number of base points that can be earned on a single stay at certain brands.
Under this promotion, a ‘stay’ is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, so it won’t matter if you check out and check back into the same property again.
Whether you intend to complete one or more stays, the check out date is important if you want to earn the points. This means you’ll need to check out after 1 May and before 5 September to be eligible for the bonus.
Is it worth it?
You can secure a ‘free night’ reward stay in a base room with anywhere from 5,000 to 95,000 Hilton Honors points.
Bearing in mind that most hotels require around 50,000 points per award night (and top-tier properties are excluded all together), it could be worth leveraging this offer to take advantage of the program’s free night benefit.
Seeing as the bonus points are awarded per stay (regardless of the duration) it would make sense to maximise your points-earn by locking in a bunch of shorter stays during the promotion period.
It’s worth noting that the transfer ratios from Hilton Honors to frequent flyer programs are not ideal, so we’d only suggest leveraging this promotion if you intend to use the program’s free night benefit.
Summing up
Any chance to collect bonus points is usually worth thinking about, however it would definitely make sense to book a few shorter stays to get the most out of this offer.
Chosen by over 57 million members worldwide, Hilton Honors is the world’s largest hotel loyalty program. Amongst the global frequent traveler community, this popular program is well-known for offering luxe properties, elite-level benefits and the ability to unlock ‘free night’ stays with points.
