Wow! Iconic Manly Pacific unveils $30m transformation

Ever wondered what a $30 million makeover looks like? Sydney’s iconic Manly Pacific hotel is a sparkling example

Manly Pacific – MGallery has emerged from two years of rejuvenation to reveal its major transformation and it’s safe to say we’re impressed with the result.

Now bringing a whole new level of elevated coastal living to one of Australia’s most iconic beachside locations, we can expect the Manly Pacific to draw quite a crowd.

Yes, we’re talking ocean-facing suites, a rooftop pool and bar sundeck complete with an infrared sauna, and an ultra-luxe Infinity Residence complete with private mixologist.

The Manly Pacific General Manager, Dylan Cole said that the hotel’s fresh new look considers an extra level of details when it comes to guest experiences.

“We’ve brought a new level of sophistication to Manly without losing the quintessential way of life of the Northern Beaches, from its laid-back lifestyle and strong connection to the sea and wellbeing,” Mr Cole said.

What to expect

This favourite Sydney hotel boasts front-row seats to Manly Beach, encouraging guests to connect with the ocean during their stay.

The transformation features a refreshed exterior that houses 213 redesigned rooms, including nine ocean-facing coastal suites.

Across each of its eight floors, the hotel has been intentionally reimagined by leading Australian designers Coco Republic, with rooms bathed in natural light and expansive views of the ocean through Manly’s towering Norfolk pines.

In terms of the styling, guests will relax amongst a soft colour palette, with organic textures and furnishings, pale bleached woods, and travertine stone accents intended to mirror the sand and encourage those much-needed exhales.

Indulge your senses: See, smell, hear, taste and touch serenity

The Many Pacific focuses on engaging and delighting all senses, from the sound of waves to the smell of a signature Australian botanicals fragrance and feelings of relaxation with personalised wellness experiences.

When it comes to the menu, your tastebuds won’t feel left out either. Inhouse restaurant, Tokyo Joe offers a fresh take on Japanese fusion, while Bistro Manly serves up a taste of coastal French cuisine.

Timber arches and paved marble tiles create the perfect place to indulge in an ocean-side cocktail at 55 North, a vibrant new Manly bar.

For those that prefer to perch above it all, a new sun-soaked nook for food and drinks complete with rooftop tunes and pool, offers guests lavish spoils of caviar, Southern Rock Lobster and champagne (of course!)

While the hotel doesn’t have a gym to work off those French sweets, guests can make use of the 24/7 facilities at the neighboring Manly Beach Health Club. There’s also the option to request a Peloton bike.

The Infinity Residence: Live a lot

The hotel’s upgrade introduces the Infinity Residence: A 177 sqm 1-bedroom suite, featuring underfloor heating, a fireplace, a kitchenette, an exquisite ensuite with a black freestanding stone bathtub, and a living and dining room opening up to a vast private terrace with enthralling views of the ocean.

Expect to be welcomed with your initials on a beach towel, fine linens and fresh flowers, but the spoils don’t stop there.

Guests will have their own personal ‘beach butler’ for the duration of their stay, with the likes of Louis Roederer Cristal Brut beckoning from the mini bar.

Don’t have over $1,700 to spare for a night? While The Infinity Residence offers an exceptionally luxe experience, all other hotel rooms have been refreshed to promote a comfortable stay.

Accor Live Limitless members can currently book a standard room for just under $300 a night.
